BLURB
I'm Madison.
I spent the last seventeen years in a trailer with my mom as she rolled from one addiction to the next. All I wanted was to survive high school and get out of this place. Finding out I had a long lost twin sister on the other side of the country seemed like something out of a movie.
Too bad I didn't realize it was a horror movie.
Now I'm Madelaine.
We were only supposed to switch lives for a summer. But then the unthinkable happened and now I have the chance to be my twin for the rest of my life. I get the fancy house, the rich father, and the elite school.
But all of those things come with a price I don't think I can afford.
Maybe taking over my dead twin sister's life isn't as easy as I thought it would be.
Mad World is the first book in a new series by Hannah McBride . It contains dark themes (including bullying) that may be triggering for some readers.

REVIEW
Before I dive right in, I want to thank Hannah McBride for providing an e-ARC to me. It is always a pleasure to read your stories and be a part of the select few who get to read them in advance. The following is my honest review.
Mad World by Hannah McBride is a Parent Trap and Cruel Intentions twist, but with extra oomph in the dark and mature themes. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and once I finished the last page I was ready to dive into the sequel. (Which isn't even out until sometime next year. 😭 RIP me.)

I fell in love with Hannah's storytelling when I read her Blackwater Pack series, and with this new series that starts with Mad World, I'm ready for so much more. And I'll admit, these are not my go-to reading choices (I'm a huge scifi/fantasy lover) - but I'm so glad I took the dive into her books because I enjoy them so much. Especially with Mad World. It was a wild ride that I thought I was ready for, and oh, oh no, I was not. The twists had me exclaiming aloud as they came one after another - and I don't really do that unless a book has sucked me in and I'm deeply invested. And the emotional rollercoaster that Mad World takes you on...Y'all, I was not ready, but I road that rollercoaster and came out the other side in awe of Hannah's clever plotting and reveals.
4 out of 5 bitchin' stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
