You know, the Barnes & Noble in Farifax, Virginia, is starting to become a favorite bookstore of mine. Look at them getting all these big name Young Adult authors. *slow clap* I appreciate it, I love it, I totally am taking advantage of these events. In honor of the release of Sophie Jordan's Reign of Shadows and Victoria Aveyard's Glass Sword, there was a Q&A session and signing.
The turnout for Jordan and Aveyard was just as large as the Bracken event last week. I mean, you can take a look yourself. Just look. Loooooooook. So much author love here.
So far from the front of the line. That was okay. I had sixteen books to get signed, four for me and the remainder for my pals from my old job. I knew anyone behind me was already flipping when they saw I had four bags full of books. You should've seen their eyes when I was prepping the title pages for signing just before the event started. Bugging, I tell you.
It was near impossible to get a good photo of both. They were so animated and constantly moved. Regardless, both beautiful and engaging.
Better prepared for a large number of people, Twin and I were out by 9 PM. Who knew that title page prep would help so much?
Sophie Jordan, I'll be seeing you at Apollycon 2016--and we will definitely get a photo then!
Victoria Aveyard, thanks for letting me be a Red Princess with you.
